Job Summary

The Digital Marketing Specialist is a blend of artist (part graphic designer & copywriter) and digital strategist, who will lead the planning, creation, and execution of omnichannel digital marketing, focused on campaign creation for paid search and social advertising, organic social, and content marketing, as well as designing landing pages, display ads and email to support campaigns.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of digital marketing and design, who can expertly manage and execute marketing initiatives and projects within website, PPC, social media, search engine, and other digital verticals. This person quickly understands and supports initiatives that will contribute to the goals and success of the business.

Daily responsibilities include monitoring competitor channels; generating concept graphics and copy for: display ads, social media, landing pages, emails; as well as paid search and social media account management (Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter); build, manage, and optimize paid social and Google Ads; analyzing digital performance and presenting opportunities for growth and optimizations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the Senior Mechanical Engineer/Developer will work within a team of engineers and developers to perform one or more of the following:

• Design and/or specify new parts, components, or assemblies for use in new or current products.
• 3D solid modeling using Pro/E Creo Parametric 7 or above, sheetmetal design, injection moulding, jig & fixture design.
• Perform engineering analyses of new designs where required (i.e. FEA, tolerances, material selection, etc.).
• Supports Project Managers during new product development or sustaining engineering projects or tasks.
• Lead a team or other group in the performance of an assigned task/project as required.
• Lead and/or participate in design reviews for new parts and products when required.

Required Skills and Experience:

• University Degree in Mechanical or Electro-mechanical Engineering, P.Eng. status an asset.
• A minimum of 10 years proven experience in designing electro-mechanical components and assemblies from concept to release to market is a must.
• Experience with medical devices; knowledge of design, development and commercialization of medical devices considered an asset.
• Knowledge of sheet metal design, injection molding, jig & fixture design.
• Proficient in 3D solid modeling CAD (preferably Creo Parametric 7 or above).
